Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Occupations, which accounted for 16% of the total new job postings in Q4 2023 and were down by 54% year-on-year. Second highest were Sales and Related Occupations, which accounted for 12% and drop by 43% year-on-year, and third highest were Management Occupations, which were 9% of the new job postings and 46% lower year-on-year.
Top five companies in auto industry accounted for 50% of hiring activity
The highest number of jobs were posted by Redde Northgate with 931, followed by Halfords Group with 541, while the highest increase was at Penske Automotive Group at 6%.
